I have the utmost respect for guys like Mel Kiper and Todd McShay, but I just don't understand what they ever saw in Manti Te'o. A linebacker whose best stat is his number of interceptions is not a linebacker I want on my team.

Linebackers need to be big, fast, and strong.  I don't believe Manti Te'o is any of those three. I didn't buy into the hype during the regular season, I didn't buy into the hype going into the national championship game and I certainly would not buy into the hype after the way he performed at the combine.

Manti measured out at 6 feet 1 1/4 inches, and ran a 4.82 40 yard dash. His 40 time was good enough for 20th out of the 26 LB's that ran at the combine. Add that to the circus atmosphere that is sure to follow him after the fake girlfriend story, and I can only think of one thing to say to any general manager who's willing to draft this player:

Buyer beware!!!

He claims to have had a girlfriend that never existed. Draft him and you will have a linebacker that I do not believe will ever be able to exist in the NFL.
