The J-E-T-S cleared approximately $30 million in cap space on Tuesday by cutting/waiving linebackers Bart Scott and Calvin Pace, safety Eric Smith, offensive tackle Jason Smith and tight end Jason Baker.

Both Pace and Scott were high-profile free agent signings (Pace in 2008, Scott in '09) that never really lived up to their contracts.  Combined, the two of them made about $60 million in their time with Gang Green - neither of them so much as made a Pro Bowl and the Jets couldn't quite get over the hump and win a Super Bowl.
